New Patient Visit

Coming to a new dental office can be an intimidating experience, but it doesn’t have to be! At Chesterton Family Dental, our goal is to get to know you and make you as comfortable as possible. There’s no need to be ashamed or scared to come in—we’re just glad you’re making the first steps to better dental health. Remember, if everyone had perfect teeth, we would be out of business!
When you first come into the office, you will be greeted by one of our business assistants and handed some new patient paperwork to fill out. If you’re an overachiever, you can print the paperwork directly from our website to have available when you walk in. One of our team members will take you back to get to know you better before we just get to know your teeth. We want to know about your concerns, your goals, and how we can ultimately help you smile more. To help you achieve these goals, we will complete a full evaluation involving x-rays, photos, measurements of gums, Diagnodent (laser cavity detector), and Carivu (cavity pictures). You may hear a lot of confusing words, but we will be sure to translate to normal English so that you better understand. We will work together to create a step by step plan to achieve your dental goals and create a smile that makes you smile. We always leave lots of time to make sure all your questions are answered so when you leave, you know what steps are next. There are no dumb questions, so if you’re not sure, make sure you ask! We will give you a treatment plan with an estimate of all costs involved with the next step and can discuss financing options, if they are needed.
